Liability Insurance Legislation in China's Mainland and Taiwan

大陆和台湾的保险立法中都有关于责任保险的规定，但二者在许多方面存在差异。本文针对大陆和台湾关于责任保险的保险事故、索赔期限、诉讼及其他必要费用的负担、责任保险人的参与权和抗辩权、第三人权利的保护等方面进行了比较分析，在大陆《保险法》修改之际，具有重要的现实意义。

There are provisions about liability insurance both in insurance laws of China's Mainland and Taiwan, but they are different in many aspects. This article compares the provisions of China's Mainland and Taiwan on insured events, claim deadline, lawsuits, necessary expenses, the right of participation to and contest to liability insurance and protection of third-party rights etc. This comparison is of important realistic significance while the Insurance Law in China is being amended.
