A Tentative Talk on Individual Freedom under the Law

从古希腊时期“自由”被提出至今已有两千多年的历史,自由也是人类不懈追求的理想。直到今天,自由仍是一个常说常新的话题。个体自由的实现依赖安全、有序的社会环境,法律通过调整公民的行为,维持制度的合理运行,为个体自由的实现创造条件。从解读自由的本质出发,通过论述自由与法律二者的关系,论证只有在以法律为最高准则的国度中,公民个体的自由才会实现。

Freedom is everlasting topic that has proposed over 2000 years since the ancient Greece. It is also an unremitting ideal which human being has sought all the times. Nowadays, it is still a new topic whenever people mention it. The realization of individual freedom relies on the social environment where is safe and orderly. And it also needs the reasonable cognition of individual citizen. The law maintains reasonable movement of system through adjusting citizens＇ behavior. It has offered an important condition to realize the individual freedom. This article starts at explaining essence of freedom. Through expounding the relationship between freedom and law, we know that it is only in a country where the law is the highest criterion that the realization individual citizens＇ freedom can come into true, which is not merely best wishes.
