摘要
《荀子》32篇,其中相当一部分涉及了汉字的起源、语言的社会本质、语言的继承与发展、语言的作用、语言的修饰、方言与共同语等语言学的基本问题。在论证上述问题时,荀子在继承前人的基础上有所创新,不时闪烁出朴素唯物主义的思想光芒,给后人以极大的启发。
There are 32 articles in （XunZi）, involving the basic problems of linguistics. Thy are the origins of Chinese characters, social essence of language, inherit and develop of language, function of language, modifier of language, dialect and common language etc. At the argument above -mentioned problem, XunZi has innovation on foundation of the past＇s, his thought gleams the thought ray of light of owner righteousness, gives us inspiration.
