书院是中国古代特有的一种教育机构和学术研究场所。祭祀是书院组织存在的三大功能之一,探讨书院祭祀的起源、对象、经费来源、仪式和式微,并对书院的教育功能进行了论述,以期对当代高等教育有所启示。
