梵净山佛教自唐朝传入,兴盛于明清。明清以前,学术流派难以考证;明清以后,存在有净土宗的莲社,但不成为系统。梵净山佛教有明确谱系的学术流派是禅门临济宗,承袭破山海明一系。梵净山的佛教流派与弥勒道场并不冲突。
