The article sets forth the importance of the application of the mitigating curve in the plane design of the urban roads, analyzes the application principle and the installing action of the mitigating curve. At the same time, the article discusses the calculating basis the determining method of the mitigating curve length, and explains how to apply the mitigating curve scientifically and reasonably in the plane design of the road by the practical engineering examples.
