The short novel Brokebaek Mountain was written by Proulx Annie, an American novelist, which tells a love story between two Western cowboys that lasts as long as 20 years. The character Ennis is filled with contradiction and struggle. In the relationship between him and Jack, Ennis is always the side of oppressing, standing and controlling.
