In recent years, flood forecast and dispatchment decision-making system has been widely used. This article presents briefly system composition and functions, and analyzes it＇s role and benefits in fighting typhoon. Finally, the author sums up experiences of system operation and maintenance. Normal operation for many years has proved that the system can provide information of rainfall and water regime, high-efficiency dispatchment decision in time, which improves the ability of defensing typhoon, abrupt heavy rainstorm and other natural disasters.
