The socialist outlook on honor-dishonor ＂Taking the eight glorious merits against the eight shameful behaviors＂ advocated by General Secretary Hu Jin-tao, the kernel spirit of which are to enhance the fine traditional ethics and raise the humanistic qualities, is the guide principle in conducting the education for all-round development. The primary task and the focal point of the quality-oriented education are to properly handle relations among the curricula, textbooks and teaching methods by combining the traditional humane spirits with the scientific spirits and focusing on the establishment of the lofty values, the heightening of the subject consciousness of morality and the development of the rational way of thinking.
