During colonial period, overseas trade is important for British North America＇s subsistence and development. The article discusses the overseas trade from three parts, including the north colony, the middle colony, and the south colony. It analyses the reasons and characters of overseas trade, showing the effect of overseas trade to colonial economy of North America. Surrounding the overseas trade, British North America formed export-leading diversified economy, which was the lasting impulse of North American colony＇s economy. And British North America became a rising power in the Atlantic world.
