以“八荣八耻”为主要内容的社会主义荣辱观,体现了中华民族传统美德与当今时代精神的有机结合,体现了社会主义道德的一贯精神和基本价值方向,是“五爱”规范和公民道德建设基本规范的进一步深化和系统化,体现了社会主义道德先进性与广泛性的有机结合,体现了“道简易行”以及对道德主体性的高度重视。实施“八荣八耻”的有效途径是循末以及本、谨外以养内以及分层次建设与实践。

The socialist view concerning honor and disgrace containing the Eight Honor and Eight Disgraces is an organic integration of the traditional virtues of the Chinese people and spirits of the age as well as the basic value system of socialist morality. It is the further development and systemization of the construction of the citizens＇morality. Moreover, it is the combination of the advancement and extension of socialist morality. It attaches great importance to main body of moral conduction. The effective approach to the realization of the Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces to follow the end so as to trace its origin, cultivate the interior quality and practice in different levels.
