党的现代化是各国执政党必须解决的重大问题。执政党的现代化问题的实质是对其政治合法性的永恒诉求,现代化对中国共产党的合法性也构成了挑战,党应该与时俱进,以价值观、制度、组织、角色的现代化来回应合法性的挑战。

Modernization is the key to every party in power which is actually an eternal issue in pursuit of political legitimacy. The great challenge of modernization to legitimacy of the Communist Party of China requires the Party＇s modernization in values, systems as well as the role so as to keep with the time.
