陈云是第一代领导集体的重要成员,也是第二代领导集体的主要成员。在第一代领导集体和第二代领导集体的形成与演变过程中,他一直担任中央领导职务。在中国革命、建设和改革的各个历史时期,他都发挥了独特的作用。在维护邓小平第二代领导集体核心地位的过程中,在正确评价毛泽东和毛泽东思想的过程中,在丰富第二代领导集体政治建设思想的过程中,他都建立了不可磨灭的功绩。陈云在第二代领导集体中的实际地位与作用仅次于邓小平。

CHEN Yun was an important member of the first generation leading group and also one of the second- generation leading group.Durlng the establishment of the two leading groups,he had been holding the post of an important leading of the CPC,and had played a postive role in the history of China＇s revolutlon,construction and reform.He made a great contribution to the forming of the first-generation leading group with DENG Xiao-ping as its leading core ,to correct evaluation on MAO Ze-dong and MAO Ze-dong thoughts,and to the political construction ideas of the second-generation leading group. CHEN Yun＇s postion and role in the second-generation leading group is only less important than DENG Xiao-ping＇ s.
