摘要
老年营养保障是指国家和社会为改善老年人口营养状况,提高老年人口生活质量和健康水平而开展的系列活动的总称,包括营养教育与宣传、营养科技、营养投资、营养扶贫、营养干预、营养立法等。加强老年营养保障,既能有效改善老年人口营养状况,增强体质和抵御疾病的能力,提高老年人口生活质量;又能降低慢性病发生率,节省医疗费用开支,减轻国家和个人的负担,促进社会和谐发展,体现了公平性、公益性和效益性等卫生资源分配的伦理原则。
Nutritional safeguard for the aged means a series of related activities containing nutritional education and propaganda, nutritional science and technology, nutritional investment, supporting the poor from nutrition, nutritional interference and nutritional legislation, and so on, which are developed by the country and the society to improve the nutritional state of the aged, to enhance the life quality and the health level. Strengthening the old's nutritional safeguard can improve old people's nutritional situation, enhance the aged's physique and ability of defending illnesses, and improve old people's life quahity. It can also reduce morbidities of several chronic diseases, cut down medical cost, lighten burden for both country and individual, and promote society to develop harmoniously. Meanwhile it gives expression to such ethical principles for hygienic resources distribution as justness, public welfare and benefit.
