A Framework For Ontology Evolution Based On The Combination of Versioning and Logging

虽然本体演化的重要性已经得到充分的认识,但是目前的本体编辑工具对本体演化的支持在对本体演化原因的信息保留和处理上却显得不足。比较了一些典型的本体编辑工具,评估它们对本体演化的支持;然后,为加强对历史信息的处理,挖掘演化的原因,提出了一个结合版本和日志技术的本体演化框架,并在其中对目前的OWL语言进行了支持本体演化的扩展,以有效的支持演化原因信息的保留和分析处理。

Now, the importance of ontology evolution has been recognized widely, but there are still many disadvantages at evolution support within existing ontology editors , especially the analysis and reservation of the reason of evolution. The paper evaluates some of typical existing ontology editors , then based on the analysis of these editors , a framework for ontology evolution based on the combination of versioning and logging is proposed. Within this framework , the extension of OWL language is used to support the analysis and reservation of the reason of evolution .
