承德避暑山庄标志语英译错误分析

Error Analysis of English Signs in Chengde Summer Resort

针对承德避暑山庄英译标志语错误较多的现象,从语法、语义、语用三个方面对其进行了分析,并指出在英译社会标志语时,要避免汉语思维的干扰,使其语义明确,语用得当。

Some errors in the signs in the Summer Resort, which are translated from Chinese into English, are analyzed grammatically, semantically and pragmatically in this paper. It is proposed that great attention be paid to the avoidance of Chinese thinking, to the accuracy of expression, and to the employment of right translation skill and to the proper use of politeness criteria and euphemism.
