Considerations about Learning English of Science and Technology (EST) in Colleges of Science and Technology

通过研究科技英语的特点,阐述了在理工类高校英语教学中科技英语学习的重要衔接作用。提出了通过科技英语在普通英语教学中的渗透,发挥科技英语向专业英语过渡的桥梁作用来提高理工类学生专业英语学习的观点。

Through studying the features of EST, this paper expounds the joining function of EST tearmng in Englisn teaching of the colleges and universities, and puts forward an opinion of increasing the specialized English level of the students of the colleges and universities of science and technology through permeating EST into the common English teaching and giving play to the bridge function of transmitting EST into the specialized English.
