NOTES ON FOUR NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUSPOLYCELIS FROM CHINA(TRICLADIDA:PALUDICOLA:PLANARIIDAE )

本文记述多目涡虫属４新种：五台山多目涡虫Ｐｏｌｙｃｅｌｉｓｗｕｔａｉｓｈａｎｉｃａｓｐ．ｎｏｖ，标本采自山西繁峙县和五台县；静乐多目涡虫Ｐｏｌｙｃｅｌｉｓｊｉｎｇｌｅｎｓｉｓｓｐ．ｎｏｖ，山西静乐县；径源多目涡虫Ｐｏｌｙｃｅｌｉｓｊｉｎｇｙｕａｎｉｃａｓｐ．ｎｏｖ，宁夏径源县；哈密多目涡虫Ｐｏｌｙｃｅｌｉｓｈａｎｉｃａｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．新疆哈密县。

The present paper deals with four new species of the genus Polycelis collected fromShanxi Province,Ningxia Huizu Autonomous Region,and Xinjiang Uygur AutonomousRegion, China.The type specimens are deposited in the institute of Natural Resources ofHeilongjiang Province.Polycelis wutaishanica sp. nov.(Figs. 1-2,P1 I: 1-4)Living sexually mature specimens 15-20mm in length and 2. 5-3. 5mm in width,brownin color. Eyes'八'shaped. Eye-band consisting of 300-386 eye-spot.Anterior trunk of intestine with 7-10 lateral branches,posterior trunk each provided with 14-18 short lateralbranches. A pair ovaries of medium size,rounded compact masses.Testes smaller,andmainly occupying the ventral part and dorsal part less, ovaries to pharyngeal base,totalnumber about 70-90. Penis large,peach-shape.bulbar cavity being weak muscular propertyand special spacious cavity. Penis papilla moderate muscular property,its dorsal lip morethick than in ventral lip,opening of ejaculatory duct on its tip.Copulatory bursa large ovalin shape, from high to low is longer than in front to behind.Above common oviduct andmale antrum possessing a circular muscle,not situated in the posterior end of bursa stalk.The type specimens were collected from Mt.Wutai (38.9°N, 113. 3°E ),Wutai andFanshi Counties(38.9°N, 113.4°E),Shanxi, China.Polycelis jinglensis sp. nov. (Figs. 3-4, P1 I: 5-8)Living mature specimens 12-16mm in length and 2. 0-2. 5mm in width. Coffee or cocoain color. Eyes '八'shaped, 60-90 eye-spot. Anterior intestine with 8-9 lateral branches,each posterior intestine with 17-21 short lateral branches. Varies is smaller, sparse massesof tissue. Testes middle sized, about 50-60, situated ventral part of ovaries to pharyngealbase. Penis calabash-shape, its consists of a spherical bulbar cavity of weak muscular property and a papilla of moderate muscular property, opening of ejaculatory duct on tip of papilla. bursa stalk is a special slender long-tube, front bursa stalk is a special small oval copulatory bursa.The type specimens were collected from Mt. Tianzhu and Qingchayan of Jingle County(38.3°N,111.9°E),Shanxi,China.Polycelis jingyuanica sp. nov. (Figs. 5-6, P. I: 1-4)Living mature specimens 15-20mm in length and 2. 0-2. 5mm in width. Charcoaldarkin color. Eyes'八'shaped, 80-100 eye-spot.Anterior intestine with 6-8 lateral branches,each posterior intestine with 16-19 short lateral branches.Ovaries is two round sparse masses of tissue. Testes special large and fewer,about 30-40,mainly occupying the ventral partand dorsal part less,ovaries to pharyngeal base.Penis consists of a large bulbar cavity ofweak muscular property and a long papilla of strong muscular property,the shape of palillaresemble to human penis,and below the papilla possess two bars of muscle,opening of ejaculatory duct on tip of papilla. Copulatory bursa is special large,above pharyhx and bulbarcavity.The type specimens were collected from Laolongtan and Xixia of Jingyuan County(35. 5°N,106.3°E ),Ningxia Huizu Autonomous Region, China.Polycelis hamica sp. nov.(Figs.7-8,P1.1:5-8)Living mature specimens 15-20mm in length and 2.0-2. 5mm in width. Brown in color.Eyes'八'shaped,150-180 eye-spot.Anterior intestine with 6-9 lateral branches,eachposerior intestine with 18-21 short lateral branches.Ovaries of middle sized, compact masses. Testes are samller,ventral part of ovaries to pharyngeal base,about 40-50.Penis consists of a round large bulbar cavity of moderate muscular property and a short-wide tubularpapilla of strong muscular property,the ejaculatory duct is slender,and opening on papillatip.Copulatory bursa is larger oval shape, between pharyngeal base and bulbar cavity.The type specimens were collected from Baishan of Qincheng (42.7°N, 94.5°E),HamiCounty,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China.The four new species may be distinguished from all other 34 known species of the genusin their copulatory apparatus.
