ord has invested GBPIOOm （RMB 1.5bn） at its Bridgend engine plant in the UK to produce a premium 3.2-1itre six- cylinder power unit. The cash is part of the firm＇s long term plan to use the UK as a base for its powertrain production.
Annual volumes of the all-alloy, 24-valve 3.2-1itre S16 at full capacity will be 209,000. The same line will produce 78,100 VSs a year. By 2009, the factory will produce Im units a year.
