从社会文化心理看英汉委婉语的异同

The Similarities and Differences Between English-Chinese Euphemisms Viewed From the Sociocultural Psychology

英汉两种语言中存在着大量的委婉语,要从深层次理解英汉委婉语的异同,就必须从社会文化心理的角度对其进行研究。通过对英汉委婉语产生的主要心理基础——禁忌,礼貌,慰藉等以及文化传统、文化价值观等的对比分析后发现,英汉委婉语的形成既有相同的社会文化心理,也有不同的社会文化心理。由此可见,英汉委婉语是基于社会文化心理而产生的,社会文化心理的差异是英汉委婉语差异产生的根本原因。

Euphemism is a common language phenomenon,the frquent employment of euphemism in daily life has made it an indispensable and imporant part of social life.It also reflects the variety of social psychological feature.Both English and Chinese have many euphemisms.From the sociocuhural view,there are many similarities and differences between English and Chinese euphemisms.From study, we can learn more about the English and Chinese culture.
