摘要
介绍了H.264可分级扩展的总体框架,阐述了其同时实现时域、空域和质量可分级的机制.分析了H.264可分级扩展中的主要技术,即基于运动补偿的时域滤波和分级B帧.通过比较H.264这一目前最先进的单层闭环编码标准,分析了H.264可分级扩展的性能,并验证了该技术在实现时域、空域和质量可分级的同时具有较高的编码效率.
This paper provided an overview of H. 264 scalable extension, which is a new joint standardization effort of ISO/IEC and ITU-T. The framework of H. 264 scalable extension was introduced, and the mechanisms supporting temporal, spatial and quality scalability simultaneously were explained. The major techniques for H. 264 scalable extension, i. e. , motion-compensated temporal filtering and hierarchical B pictures were analyzed. Lastly, experimental results were shown to validate the efficiency of this new scalable video coding technology.
