基于VPN的高校图书馆数字资源分布式共享应用研究

Research of application of the digital resource distributed sharing in university libraries based on VPN

暨南大学图书馆于2004年引入VPN技术,用以解决校外用户访问馆藏数字资源的难题,取得了较好的效果。本文在此基础上,对高校图书馆数字资源使用中面临的问题及其分布式共享的应用方式进行了研究,并结合实际应用,阐述了VPN在高校图书馆数字资源分布式共享应用中的可行性,同时对应用过程中所遇到的问题进行了探讨。

Digital resource distributed sharing is a challenging problem for university libraries. When users are out of the campus, they would feel very inconvenient if they can not access the digital resources of the library. However, this has been a unsolved problem for most of university libraries in China. In 2004, the library of Jinan University applied the VPN technology to solve this problem, and achieved a satisfying effect. This paper mainly focuses on the discussion of the digital resource distributed sharing, and its special application on the library of Jinan University.
