论20世纪初先进女性的自立观

On the Concept of Independence of the Advanced Women in the Early 20th Century

争自由、谋自立,是近代妇女觉醒的重要标志,20世纪初年,伴随着中国近代化的历程,深受欧风美雨浸润的先进女性,积极吁请女性自立,把女性自立与男女平权、强国安民联系起来,对女性自立自强之途进行了积极的探索与可贵的实践,由此形成了富有时代气息的女性自立观;近代女性自立观的确立,是对传统“妇功”观的有力否定,它不仅在当时具有积极意义,至今仍不失现实价值。

Striving for freedom and seeking for independence were the two important signs ot the awakening awareness of modern women. In the early 20th century, along with the course of China＇s modernization, the female pioneers who were deeply influenced by the Western concepts actively appealed for the independence of women and connected their independence with the equality between men and women and the prosperity and peace of China and its people. These female pioneers carried out active explorations into and valuable practice of women＇s independence and their self-strengthening, hence the formation of the female independence concept permeated with a scent of the times. The establishment of modern women＇s concept of independence was a strong denial of the traditional concept of women＇s morals. It was of a positive significance at that time, and it is still of a realistic value today.
