As the Cold War expanded to Asia, especially after the emergence of the Cold War pattern in Asia, Harry Truman Government worked out a series of papers on Southeast Asia, which were the first systematical policies and laid the foundations of American policies toward the area during the Cold War. Therefore, this author explores the evolution of American policies toward Southeast Asia during Truman Government by studying these papers.
