浅谈死喻的产生、特点及功用

A brief reflection on dead metaphor

隐喻贯穿于人类一切自然语言和思维之中,是认知语义学研究的重点之一。作为隐喻中的一种特殊形式的死喻,却很少有相关阐述。对其产生、使用以及特点等的解释也显得模糊不清。文章着重介绍和探讨死喻研究中的不同观点,从隐喻运作机制的基础上对死喻的定义、特点进行讨论,同时指出死喻的重要性和应用,分析“死喻变活”的现象以及死喻研究中仍存在的问题。

Metaphor has been the key task in the cognitive linguistic research. Dead metaphor, being a special kind of metaphor, has not been taken into systematic research. Thus, this paper introduces different ideas on the dead metaphor study, based on a comprehensive study of its mechanism. It tries to make a clear definition of dead metaphor and attempts to offer a primary analysis of its feature, function, as well as application, in the hope that the scholars will pay attention to dead metaphor.
