RURAL URBANIZATION:THE WAY OUT FOR ELIMINATING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOWN AND COUNTRY AND THE SOLUTION TO THE ISSUES CONCERNING AGRICULTURE,COUNTRYSIDE AND FARMERS

长期制约我国社会、经济可持续发展的城乡、工农、地区差别,核心是城乡差别,本质上是城市化水平的差距。实施好城镇化战略,对于扩大内需、推动国民经济增长,对于优化城乡经济结构、促进国民经济良性循环和社会协调发展,都具有重要意义。只有实施统筹城乡发展的农村城市化战略,以城带乡,构建和谐的城乡关系,实现城乡协调发展,才能实现全面小康的目标。

The issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers constitute an everlasting topic for the social and economic development, for they have constrained the sustainable development of China. The so - called ＂three major differences＂, i.e. the differences between town and country, between workers and peasants and between different regions, are, in essence, the differences between the urban and rural regions, or the gap between them in the extent of urbanization. Only by adopting a rural urbanization strategy and comprehensively arranging the development of urban and rural areas, can we hope to solve the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers and build an overall well - off society.
