Deng Xiaoping＇ s theory about the nature of socialism, which is characterized by the distinct features of the times, represents a regrcssion to and a re - understanding of the conception of socialism of the classical Marxist writers. It recognizes the fact that the social form can be stridden over while productivity cannot. What lies at the core of Deng Xiaoping＇ s theory is emancipation and development of productive forces. The phenomena of exploitation and employment at this stage do not negate Deng Xiaoping＇ s theory; they confirm it instead.
