摘要
作为二战后英国文坛上涌现出来的最重要的代表人物之一,特德.休斯在他的诗中展现了世界大战的残酷和人类世界弱肉强食的掠夺。本文试论战争这一历史事件对休斯诗歌创作的影响及在休斯诗中的体现,讨论休斯诗歌与英国当代社会历史的紧密联系。
As one of the most important representative poets appearing in England after World War Ⅱ , Ted Hughes exhibits in his poems the cruelty of world wars and the fierceness of competition in mankind. This paper discusses the effects of the two world wars on Hughes's poetic creation and explores the close link between the contemporary English history and Ted Hughes' s poetry.
