This paper first discusses the innovation and creation in expression techniques of contemporary watercolor painting by taking the relationship between the art language of ＂water＂ and ＂color＂ and techniques of watercolor painting as the starting point. It then points out that watercolor painting is an expression form combining scientific and artistic quality. Furthermore, it probes into the expression ability of the art language of watercolor painting.
