Improvement Design of Mechanical Seal of the Speed-varied Feed Water Pump Group

对41/4″T8BID型机械密封频繁泄漏、使用寿命过短问题进行了故障分析,发现主要是动静环材质组合不当和冷却方式不合理造成。通过选择适合的动静环材料和改进机械密封,使问题得以解决。

This paper analyzes the problem of the 41/4＂T8BID style mechanical seal of pump leaks frequently and service life is much shorter and it is found that they are caused by the unsuitable materials of moving and static ring and the cooling mode isn＇t reasonable. The problems can be solved by choosing suitable moving and static ring materials and improving mechanical seal of spare parts.
