The Common Occurrent Diseases and the Causes of Death in 405 Cases of Aged Patients

综合分析４０５名老年患者常见病及主要死因。结果表明老年患者每人均患多种疾病，而且在一个脏器内可同时患几种疾病，病变随增龄而增多。死亡病例４１例中，３２例（７８％）死于各种恶性肿瘤。

Comprohensive analyses in 405 cases of aged petients in our cadre's ward was made. The results shows t hat every aged patient contracted more than one kind of diseases and the variety of disease increased with aging.Ouring to over 90%of the aged patients suffered from cardiovasular damage and impaired resistant activity of the respiratory passage in different degree,the patients is suseceptible to have microbic infection and deterioratiion in immune function. Thus it may give rire to various diseases.Among these,chronic bronchitis,emphysema and cerebrovascular diseases are the most common occurrence. In the 41 cases of death ,32 cases (78%)died of malignant tumors of various types, and it represent the highest death rate.Active preventive measures should be advocated.
