Widely discussed and with many exhibited at the Third Session of the World Urban Forum in Vancouver 2006, the original call for Best Practices was launched during preparations for the Habitat II City Summit in Istanbul ten years ago. The idea： to highlight the most successful initiatives in sustainable human settlements.
