ER Mapper is one of the most advanced image processing (remote sensing processing) software packages. Based on its creative concept-algorithm , it has superiorities, such as saving the disk space, fasting operation, template processing, real-time alternately analysing and mosaicking and so on, to the others. The ER Mapper has really become a helper to the human being to manage the Earth for its powerful functions and flexibility. The establishment of the State-key Center of Remote Sensing in Territorial Management and Disaster Forecasting and the running of the ER Mapper system will bring great beneficial results to the sociaty and economy of Guizhou Province.
