Deformation of Aluminum Alloy LY12CZ Plate by Laser Shot Peening

摘要 板料激光喷丸成形是通过强激光冲击金属板料所诱导的非均匀残余应力使板料产生塑性变形。报道了用波长为1.064μm,脉宽为23 ns的强激光对外形尺寸为75 mm×20 mm×1.2 mm的航空铝合金LY12CZ进行了喷丸冲击变形实验。实验结果表明,沿着试样的中心线进行喷丸,试样变形的弧弓高随着喷丸次数的增加而增加,经过多次冲击后,尽管冲击次数增加,试样的变形量增加不明显。在实验的基础上,建立了有限元分析模型,用三维体单元对板料激光弯曲成形过程进行了数值模拟,所得结果和实验结果较一致。 Laser peening forming is a modern technology to form metal plate in the field of plastically deforming, which employs the uneven residual stresses along the thickness of plate induced by the intense laser. In this paper, the experiments were carried out to research the relation between the magnitude of deforming versus the numbers of laser peening. The aluminum alloy LY12CZ specimen with dimensions of 75 mm × 20 mm × 1.2 mm was impacted along the centerline by intense laser with the wavelength of 1. 064 9m and the duration of 23 ns. The experimental results show that the height of arc of specimen deformation becomes greater with numbers of shot peening increasing, and eventually the magnitude of deformation increases not obviously after multiple impacts. On the base of experiments, three-dimensional (3D) finite element model (FEM) was constructed to simulate the deformation induced by intense laser. The results of simulation are in good agreement with the results of experiments.
