As one of the 3 big air hubs of the country, the new Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the first one designed and built with the "hub" concept. With the unique construction, advanced facilities, elegant environment and safe and efficient ATC system, the airport will become one of the first class terminals in the world. The new airport is divided into three big areas: terminal area, flying area and working area. The terminal, with an area of approximately 300,000 m2, is designed to handle 25 million passengers and 1 million tons of cargo per year, 90 to 100 aircraft and 9300 passengers at peak hour.
