在铁路单线自动闭塞铁路区段,追踪运行列车数与沿线车站配线数量之间有着密切的关系。在给出相对方向追踪运行的列车在车站交会和越行时所遵循的原则,以及对可能发生的各种会车、越行方式进行划分的基础上,通过数学分析,对每种会车、越行方式进行深入研究,找到两者之间的一般规律,得出单线自动闭塞区段组织追踪运行的列车数量与站线配置的一般原则和结论。

On the automatic blocking section of single tracked railway, there is a close relationship between the number of fleeting trains and the number of station tracks along the lines. The essay presents the principles of meeting and overtaking of fleeting trains in opposite direction, and classifies variant meeting and overtaking types. Through deeply mathematical analysis and investigation on each type of meeting and overtaking, the general rule is gained, and the principles and results on the relation between the number of fleeting trains and the number of station tracks on single tracked railway are obtained.
