上博楚竹书《诗论》第八简“即”字考辨

A discussion on the Chinese character “Jie(节)” in the poem JieNanShan(节南山) of Shijin(诗经)——Based on Bamboo slips of Chu Kingdom stored by ShangHai Museum

《诗经·节南山》中的“节”字,毛传解释为“高峻貌”,此说被后世各家接受。近出上博楚竹书诗论第八简该诗名为“即南山”,但从字形、字义、语法和韩诗旁证等方面加以考证,该诗为“即南山”较妥,“即”为临近之意。

There is a Chinese character ＂Jie（节）＂ in the poem JieNanShan （节南山） in ShiJing. It is explained by MaoGong more than 2000 years ago that its meaning is ＂high and steep＂, and this explanation was regarded credible. But the Poem was also found recently in the manuscript collected by ShangHai museum named shilun written on bamboo dated Warring States Period, and the name is ＂即南山＂. My paper figure out that ＂即＂ is more reasonable than ＂节＂ proved by meaning, structure and grammar, and the meaning is ＂go closely＂.
