Thirteen North American colonies had long maintained well tolerant, coexisting and mutual benefit relationships with the suzerain since they were set up. In fact, Britain not only gained great economic benefits from the north American colonial rule, but also advanced the all - round development of the north American. Britain began to seek a new strategy of the North American colony rule policy from 1763. However, it was because of "the new colony policy" that provoked deterioration and breakup in their relations. So the British colony rule policy was the kernel that influenced the relations between the colony and the suzerain. It played dual role in the course of the development of the North American and the evolution of relations with its mother country.
