This paper briefly describes the development of ship-to-air missile fuse, and introduces its basic working principles. According to the features of sea battle-field in future, it analyzes the total requirements, and expounds on eight research directions of the fuse by the view of raising the ability at three aspects： matching fuse and warring-part, anti-jamming capacity and reliability. Then it explores the developing trend of new type fuse and the relative techniques in coming years. Finally, it suggests how to develop new ship-to-air missile fuse for our navy.
