The expression of porosity distribution in filter cakes is derived by solving the partial differential equation of filtration.It indicates that porosity distributions in constant pressure filtration are affected not only by the compressibility of cake,but also by the concentration of slurry and operation conditions of filtration.The experimental data agree with prediction satisfactorily.
