摘要
本文对掺铒光纤放大器的放大机理作了阐述，讨论了掺铒光纤放大器的应用前景和进一步发展需解决的问题，并对用于掺铒光纤放大器实用化的无源器件的组件作了探讨。
This paper describe the mechanism to achieve optical signal gain in an Erbium-doped fiber amplifier. The potential applications of EDFA and some EDFA's problems which must be solved are discussed, and the passive module which is used tO make EDFA utilizable is discussed.
