This paper presents the principles and methods of OPC, and the function and application of the OPC specification in the information integration of CIPS. Then, the information integrated system based on OPC is designed, and data communication between DCS system and management network is implemented by using OPC. It is illustrated that the implementation of OPC Client and data upload in the OPC Client. The results indicate that the information integrated system based on OPC breaks the separation of management network and DCS control network. Consequently the managers can know the operation state of the field of DCS system in time, and make more reasonable decisions.
