试论转喻对通感隐喻的阐释力

Metonymic Interpretation of Synaesthesic Metaphor

本文首先分析通感隐喻的基本内涵,再重点讨论转喻对通感隐喻的的阐释力,以恒定原则揭示通感隐喻的内在动因,指出转喻是通感隐喻生成的前提条件和心理基础,从而为转喻与隐喻之间的关系提供有力的证据。

According to traditional rhetorics, synaesthesia is only a philological figure of speech. With the development of cognitive science, it is believed that synaesthesia is the device and result of human cognition and categorization based on physiological and psychological analysis and realized by synaesthetic metaphor as a result of application and creation of language. This article firstly analyzes the basic connotation of synaesthesic metaphor and then interprets synaesthesic metaphor by the means of metonymy on the basis of Invariance Principle. This article is to reveal the innate motivation of synaesthesic metaphor to indicate that a synaesthetic metaphor presupposes a metonymy as its psychological basis, and to offer a piece of evidence for the relationship between metonymy and metaphor.
