浅谈大学英语词汇教学

摘要 词汇是语言的基本要素,是语言表达的主要承担者。词汇学习是大学英语学习的一个重要组成部分,同时也成为许多人提高英语水平的瓶颈。基于索绪尔的现代语言学理论,词汇教学应该引导学生利用联想建立语意网络,按照记忆规律扩大词汇量;通过学习东西方文化的异同因素,正确把握词汇传递的真实信息;通过指导学生广泛阅读,在词汇的广度和深度上实现突破,从而准确、快速达到理解,切实提高英语学习效率。 Vocabulary is the basic element of a language and the main carrier of language expression. Vocabulay study is an important part of the English study in university. Meanwhile, it also becomes the barrier of improving English level for many people. Therefore, the significance of vocabulary teaching can be seen. Based on the theory of Saussure's modern language, vocabulary teaching is supposed to guide students to make a meaning network through association and to enlarge the glossary according to the law of memory; to help them understand the true information conveyed by words through studying the elements of different cultural backgrounds; and to instruct them to make a progress in both the quantity and the depth of vocabulary. Consequently a more accurate and faster understanding and a hige efficiency of English studying will be realized.
