Based on the basic principles and the function mechanism about compacting bedding by underwater blasting,a blasting thump project for He Bang pier had been made. The experience and effects were very satisfactory. It is shown that the method of compacting bedding by underwater blasting is effective and workable, and it has a good and encouraging prospect.
