Clinical Application and Study of Zhongwan(CV 12) Acupoint in the Past and Present

中脘穴在《针灸甲乙经》《黄帝内经》《千金方》等古籍中均有记载,并且因其临床效果显著而被广泛应用。通过查阅古今医籍、参阅现代实验研究、结合临床报道,本文介绍了其解剖、功能、主治、现代研究及应用进展等,并列举了典型病例的治疗。进一步论证出,中脘穴尤其适宜于治疗脾胃功能失调、心神被扰所致病症。

In the present paper, the authors review clinical application of Zhongwan （CV 12） in the ancient literature of Chinese medicine, and modern experimental and clinical researches. Zhongwan （CV 12） is seen early in book Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing （ 《针灸甲乙经》 A-B Canon of Acu-moxibustion ） , Huang Di Nei Jing （《黄帝内经》 The Yellow Emperor＇s Internal Classic ）, Qion Jin Fang （《千金方》 Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold for Emergencies）, etc. Experimental researches show that acupuncture or moxibustion of Zhengwan （CV 12） can regulate gastrointestinal functional activities and raise immune capability. Clinical practice demonstrates that Zhongwan （CV 12） has a definite therapeutic effect in clinical treatment of gastritis, coronary heart disease, diarrhea, postoperative abdominal distension, hiccup, insomnia, etc. Further summary and more standard researches about its efficiencies and clinical indications should be conducted in the coming days.
