Public Servant's Spirit and Its Cultivation

公务员精神是其政治素质、思想作风、职业素养、道德情操、精神风貌的集中反映,可分为无私奉献、为民服务、实事求是、团结进取、开拓创新和艰苦奋斗六类精神。当前,培育和弘扬公务员精神既重要又必要,必须以“用高尚的精神塑造人”为指导思想,以“八荣八耻”为原则和要求,从管理、文化、法律三大途径培育和弘扬公务员精神。

Public servant＇s spirit is a concentrated embodiment of their political character, thinking style, professional accomplishment, moral sentiment and volitive appearance. It can be divided into six spiritual manners： selfless dedication, serving people, being practical and realistic, solidarity with enterprising en- ergy, exploiting and innovating, arduous struggle. At the present time, fostering and expanding public servant＇s spirit that is important and necessary must be under the guidance of ＂molding person with lofty spirit＂, take ＂eight honors and eight disgraces＂ as the principle and requirement by way of management, culture and law.
