A Survey on Zhou Zuoren's Early Ballad Creation from Three Periodicals

从周作人不同时期主编的三种刊物探寻周作人歌谣研究的活动脉络,认为《绍兴县教育会月刊》时期是仅限于个人的兴趣;《歌谣》时期则是五四时期最有意义与影响的民俗学研究之一;而《语丝》时期常与其所特别关注的文明与社会批评结合在一起,产生了很大影响。

This paper follows clues of Zhou Zuoren＇s early ballad creation from three periodicals-- Shaoxin Education Association Monthly, Ballads, and Yusi , for which he worked as chief - editor during three different periods. The author holds the opinion that Zhou＇s first period of ballad creation in Shaoxin Education Association Monthly was out of his personal interest, and that during the second period his creation in Ballads was among the most significant and influential folk studies during May 4th period, while his creation in Yusi during the last period was often combined with the civilization and social criticism he paid special attention to, thus having a great literary impact.
