On the relationship between rule of law and political civilization

法治与政治文明存在着密切联系,一方面,法治对政治文明具有重要价值,它是政治文明的核心内容,另一方面,政治文明是法治的精髓和灵魂。今天,我国建设社会主义政治文明,必须以法治为根本,加强民主政治建设、充分保障人权、完善权力分工和制约机制,从而实现政治文明的目标。

There is a very close relationship between rule of law and political civilization. On one hand, as the core of political civilization, rule of law is of great importance to political civilization. On the other hand, political civilization is the essence and soul of rule of law. Currently, the construction of socialist political civilization in China should be founded on rule of law. To achieve the goal of political civilization in China, the construction of democracy should be strengthened, human rights should be adequately safeguarded and the system of distribution and restriction of power should be improved.
