Piety is the theme of Plato＇s Euthuphro. Socratic irony is the key for us to really catch on the sense of Irony and to discern how piety manifested on the two interlocutors. How to affirm that the Socratic irony exists in the dialogue？ There are many details which you should not ignore, and at the same time we can find some significant scent among the whole defining course. Because of the application of irony, the meaning of piety becomes more complicated ; and similarly the deep significance of Socratic irony opened out through discussing the piety.
